Maybe it’s re-adjusting to avoid paper jams or a full buffer. We saw a while at that time that the printer tends to take a somewhat long pause between multiple printed pages. To print a text page, MP990 manages one page in nine seconds and averages 10 pages per minute in normal black coverage.

We would suggest choosing to install custom and ticking off the bits that you actually need unless you need a lot of time thinking.
